How did you get started in Vedic Astrology?
I first heard about Vedic Astrology from Maharishi Mahesh Yogi
in 1973 while I was studying Vedic Science with him in Seelisberg,
Switzerland. It wasn’t until 1983 when Maharishi was talking about
Vedic Astrology and Ayur Veda, that I decided Vedic Astrology would
be a good thing to study. From there, things just took off and I
have been conducting readings, holding lectures, doing research,
and writing ever since. It has been pretty effortless and I am very
thankful for all the support I have received over the last two decades.

What are your qualifications and background as an astrologer?
One’s greatest credentials are the results they produce. Since
my phone has been constantly ringing with clients seeking appointments,
I feel that is a good sign. Most of my business is referrals.People
find their readings useful and they tell their friends. I have been
practicing Vedic Astrology since 1983 and at the time of this writing,
I have done over 10,000 charts. Basically one has to read the ancient
texts on Vedic Astrology. These are available to everyone. After
that do lots of charts, meditate to improve your consciousness,
and keep in your heart that you want to help people. The thing about
Vedic Astrology is that either you are right or you are not and
success builds from there.
I have been awarded the prestigious title of "Jyotish Kovid" (Expert
Astrologer) by the India Council of Astrological Sciences, headed
by the late Dr. B.V. Raman, India’s most famous astrologer. I have
also developed and continue to publish a planetary almanac for Vedic
Astrologers. I have appeared on television in the US, Europe and
India and have written books and numerous articles on Vedic Astrology.
Outside the field of Vedic Astrology, I also work as a management
consultant for the Aerospace industry. As a result, I have been
fortunate to have been given a lot of training and have done many
projects related to business process re-engineering, performance
measurement, and team building. Much of what I have learned in my
business career is readily transferable to my astrology practice.
